Don't just lose weight. Protect what matters.
GLP-1 medications can help you lose weight. Your body needs support during rapid weight loss. Med.xyz helps you protect muscle · strength · bone · nutrition · metabolic health, and tells you when something is worth a call to your clinician.
- In clinical DXA substudies, roughly 25–40% of the weight lost on GLP-1s was lean mass, not fat. (SURMOUNT-1, STEP 1)
- GLP-1 users walked about 560 fewer steps a day after starting. (Maharjan et al., ENDO 2026)
- Works with any GLP-1, from any provider. We don't sell medication.

Am I losing fat or muscle?
A scale can only tell you total weight. Here is how to read it while you are on a GLP-1.
Total weight falls fast
Especially in the first 12 weeks. The trials show most of that is fat, but a meaningful share is lean tissue: water, glycogen and muscle.
Strength is the early signal
If your sit-to-stand count, push-ups or the weights you lift are holding steady, you are keeping most of your muscle. If they drop, that is worth attention.
Body composition confirms it
A smart scale gives a rough lean-mass trend. A DEXA every 3–4 months gives a clear one, including bone density. Both plug into GLP-1 Health Mode.
How it works
Muscle & strength
Resistance sessions logged from Apple Health or by hand, with a monthly 30-second sit-to-stand check so you can see strength holding.
Protein & nutrition
A personalized protein range, protein-first reminders timed to your appetite window, and nutrient flags worth a lab conversation.
Body composition
Weight, waist and, when you have a smart scale or DEXA, fat lost versus lean lost against the trial ranges.
Hydration & GI
One-tap logging of nausea, constipation or pain with a dose-timing overlay, and a clear line for when to call your clinician.
Bone health
Track impact and resistance work, calcium and vitamin D, and the questions to ask about bone-density screening.
Safety & medication
Label-sourced safety card, a unit-to-milligram helper for vials, injection-site rotation, and support if a compounded supply ends.
Questions, answered
Does this work with compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide?
Yes. Med.xyz works with any GLP-1 from any source: a branded pen, a branded vial, a compounded vial or an oral tablet. If your product is compounded, the Program adds a unit-to-milligram helper and a pharmacy-verification checklist, because dosing errors from multi-dose vials are the most common problem FDA has reported.
Do you sell or prescribe GLP-1s?
No. Med.xyz never sells, prescribes or recommends a medication. That is the point: the companies that interpret your data today are usually also selling you the drug. We are the layer that only works for you.
Is the score a medical assessment?
No. It is a wellness score that reflects how closely your current habits match the published consensus for protecting lean mass during weight loss. It does not diagnose anything, and any pattern it flags is worth discussing with your clinician, not acting on alone.
Where do the numbers on this page come from?
Every statistic links to its source: the Obesity Pillars expert consensus (Nov 2025), the SURMOUNT-1 and STEP 1 DXA substudies, Maharjan et al. presented at ENDO 2026, and Jensen et al. in JAMA Network Open (2024).
What happens after the free score?
You can stop there. If you want the daily version, GLP-1 Health Mode carries your answers over, tracks the six domains, and builds a clinician packet when something is worth a conversation.
Your GLP-1 shouldn't be your entire health plan.
